2025 Jamboree Evaluation Report

by BCDF

The Bovell Cancer Diabetes Foundation (BCDF) hosted its 17th Annual Diabetes in the Limelight Jamboree on 7th November, 2025 at the Cyd Gray Sporting Complex, Roxborough, Tobago as part of the World Diabetes Day (WDD) Campaign. The theme for WDD 2025 was ‘Diabetes and Well-Being’ and the tagline ‘Diabetes in the Workplace.’

BCDF delivered a comprehensive community-based diabetes education and screening intervention to approximately 550 participants, including roughly 250 adults and 300 school children from across Tobago and Trinidad. A post-event evaluation was completed by 76 adult participants. This report synthesizes quantitative and qualitative findings from the evaluation charts and open-ended responses to assess the Jamboree’s reach, effectiveness, participant satisfaction, and areas for improvement.

Results demonstrate strong knowledge acquisition, high satisfaction, and high intentions to adopt healthier lifestyle behaviors, particularly in dietary practices and physical activity. Findings provide compelling evidence of BCDF’s capacity to deliver impactful, scalable community health projects and serve as a foundation for future funding and program expansion.
